Exam stress leads to fashion meltdown

Exams are coming up but I don't know why I'm so stressed. I mean, seriously, I've been doing this for years! I should have the hang of it by now. But evidently, I do not. Go figure.

In need of sneakers

The weather has been like my mood lately - pretty haphazard.

I spent the whole day yesterday at uShaka Marine World. Not that I had a choice, it was a school thing. I got to see some dolphins, though. Then we went to the Roma Revolving Restaurant. It's 36 storeys up with giant windows so you can see the whole of Durban while you try to stomach down your food as the actual restaurant does a 360. I hated it.

Thursday was the matrics' last day at school. It was kinda saddening to see them go. Then my friends and I had this intense epiphany while we looking at the seniors running around their quad hitting each other with water balloons and simultaneously singing "The more we are together, together, together. The more we are together, the happier we'll be!" and thought "OMG guys. That's us next year!" While this realization made other people feel gloomy, I'm stoked! HIGH SCHOOL IS NEARLY OVER!

So now I'm chilling and listening to Asher Roth rhyme about having a Bad Day and though I'm not a jet-setting rapper like him, I find I can relate.


PS: My mom seriously needs to get me new sneakers!

What's the difference between being mean and being honest?

The answer may seem obvious, but believe me, it's not.
I've been accused on several occasions for being tactless and that I'm apparently oblivious to other people's feelings.

Girl A: Don't you think I'll look good in these shades?
Me: No. I actually kinda think you'll look like some tropical insect with over sized eyes. Don't waste your money on those.

Ok, I admit, that may have not been the nicest way to put it, but should I have lied? Is it better to lie to a friend than to tell them the truth just so you can spare their feelings?

That last time I checked, the truth hurts, and anybody who doesn't know that by now needs to get with the programme.

And besides, my mother always told me true friends never lie and that it's always better to hear the truth from someone you love than from some obscure stranger.

So I repeat: What's the difference between being mean and being honest?

I'll never know the answer.

Anyhobo, I'm totally gaga over Madonna's song, Celebration. May I risk sounding corny by saying it is the bombdigity? Maybe I'm just bias coz I'm a fan. I'm loving her Christian Louboutins and Balmain dress.

Hi, I'm Coco. Et toi?

As I type this, the lyrics of a certain High School Musical song are brought to light. "This could be the start, of something new!"

And then Britannia High: "This could be the start of something new!"

Yes, I'm completely aware that they are the exact same lyrics but I must say, I personally prefer the latter of the two.

I'm babbling on about new beginnings because as one can clearly see, this is my first post.
It's a new beginning of sorts; it's the start of something new.
And typing it is about as exhilarating as, well, the most stupendously invigorating and elating thing you have ever done in your life.
Not really, but you get what I mean.

It's like a free rollercoaster ride…
…and I hope I enjoy every minute of it.
